5'11" 194, 16" apes and forwards, and it fits like a glove.

I haven"t done the 1250 yet. Don't have the spare cash for it yet. The 883 will do everything the 1200 will. It's just not as fast. So for now I'm happy with my 883.

If ur 5'10 or taller forward controls are ur friends. I hated my 883 the first time i rode it because it had mids. Good thing my friend bought a 48 the same day and he was too short for forwards.

I am 6'3" 210 34" inseam. I have forwards on it and 10" bars and it fits pretty good but I came from a smaller bike. Nightster stock seat and shocks are pretty bad plan on replacing them if you ride more than 30 mins at a time.

Thanks for all the feedback. I think I'm going to pull the trigger tomorrow on a 2012 Iron that I found locally. It has 3000 miles on it with the black Harley pipes and forward controls.

Can't wait to bring it home and start wrenching...z bars, spring seat, etc.

Will post pics soon.

I'm 6'1", 230#, and my 2nd bike is Sportster 883 Custom. It's fits me fine, and has plenty of get up and go as long as I am solo. My softail is much more comfortable for long rides, or any time I'm 2 up. But I love that Sportster for shorter, fun rides. I have no regrets with it at all.
