I went to take off on my 04 1200 custom this morning and as i rolled on the throttle nothing happened! So I removed the casing to find that the front cable had broken off right at the anchor screw or whatever it's called that holds the cable to the grip.
Does anyone know what I'll need to do to fix this?
Never done one on my sporty but you should deffinetly get a service manual. I wouldn't think it would be too hard. Probly have to remove the tank and seat then remove old cable and instal new one.
If you don't have a service manual (and you really should) just taking it off will tell you a lot about putting the new one back on. BUT, IT HAS TO BE PROPERLY ADJUSTED BEFORE YOU RIDE. Again, if you don't have the manual, you should be able to find the procedure on Youtube - wouldn't surprise me at all.

Yep, just looked, it's there. Sorry I don't know how to attach a link. Just go there and type in "throttle cable adjustment harley" & it's all over the place.
The cable is easy to replace, just be patient with it. And I have a use for your old cable, PM me and I'll send ya a few bucks to ship it to me if you're going to throw it out.
