I have a 883 hugger I just bought for my fist harley, I have 2in pipes from cycle shake and a s&s air cleaner I want to throw on, the plugs are white and I don't want to run it any leaner then it already is
Iv never messed around with rejetting carbs so any info would be great!
I usually install a 45 pilot jet and anywhere between a 175 to a 180 main jet. Jetting is a simple process and here are a couple videos to explain the process a little more. Watch them in order they are listed.
You can just buy the jets from eBay for fairly cheap or you can buy whole kits for about twice the price as just the jets else where on the net and at some local stores (depending on your area). A lot of kits include step by step instructions (some with pictures) to guide you through it if these videos aren't enough.
also if running fine no need to totally remove carb jetting the card depends on your elevation temp ect. what others have said is good starting point 2.5 - 3 turns out on mixture screw
with air cleaner and all installed you can get to mixture screw with right screw driver to fine tune from under side watch out if hot and running HOT lol
