My pops has one.. i do all the maint. on it.... the rear tail light is already out...
the break light portion works....so i unhooked all the led light equalizers and flashers just to be sure. if i hook it to all the led turn signal load equalizer and flashers. its the same.. the running light portion does not work on the factory led tail light. has anyone removed this yet and replaced it with a normal unit?
the light itself, ... the entire housing is 130ish bucks....id almost rather replace the rear fender and all involved in that, if i have to deal with this stoooopid light every year... its tiny and dumb...
I have a 2008 1200C and the stock taillight is a different shape than what is on the newer bikes. Not sure if they make a non-led version for that bike. You could always do what I did and relocate it to the trash and chop the fender.
