Random "pop" or miss ???
01 sportster 883, 1200 conversion.
Just got it, still new to harleys. Ive recently noticed when slowing down and downshifting Ill get a random miss. Today it happened coming to a stop light. I noticed it red and downshifted, and let it coast in 3rd gear and when it turned green I eased back into the throttle and it just kinda popped and miss for a split second. Although its pretty rare, I still dont like it.
Other than that it runs awesome. It was gone through at the local harley dealer before I bought it. Pretty mint.
Any ideas guys?

I have a 2004 Custom XL 36k miles. Sounds like my ride does exactly the same.
No trend, just random real sporadic occasional miss and the odd pop. I am no wrencher but my bike runs awesome (so it feels). I don't know if something is seriously wrong or not? I dunno. All I know is that I go on long, long runs as well as the bar hops and i haven't experienced anything bad, she is still fast as **** (screamin eagle upgrades) and never lets me down, sounds awesome, etc, etc, all the things you take note of are on the postive side; so, I don't worry about it and keep on riding.
Doesn't happen often enough for me to stress about it. If she missed and/or popped everyday I may investigate further, but she doesn't - I think she may miss when I accidentally rev during a gear change when the clutch is on the way back or fully back, not 100% sure.
