You can save some green and put on the V & H HS Slip-ons. I had them on my 883 and it sounded awesome. In fact I rode with lots of BTs and they couldn't believe it was an 883 from the sound. Welcome to the club and enjoy!!
I wasn't too sure of the blue initially in the showroom, but TDA69, you are dead on when you say how cool it looks in the sunlight! I am really diggin the color now.
My husband(Hammer02) is going toget me some V&H pipes once I learn turns and humps that might cause scraping (Since my bike is a lowrider, I have scraped asphalt twice. He even did once). Oh yeh, and if I drop the bike repeated as I learn I can beat up the stock pipes and not the V&H. I'm kinda leaning towards the shortshots, but I like the straitshots also.......... I've got time to figure it out tho. I am still riding around the subdivision (gotta get my turns down) before venturing into the real world....................

Yeah but you're scraping pegs (which is cool), not pipes (which is not cool), right ? How long is it gonna take to get that **** eating grin off your face? I loved my Sportster but had to swap it for a Fatboy when it started making my @ss look fat (j/k).
Nice bike... I'm sure you'll do fine... the more you ride the better you get...
One word of advice... when you do get on the open road... take thecurves at your own pace no matter what someone else is doing... ya' have to feel it foryourself...
Well here she is. An '05 883L - and she's all mine!!! This is my first bike ever and my only experience riding was at the MSF class I took a week ago, so my first trip around my subdivision I felt very intimidated as she seems somewhat tempermental at low speeds/gears. I will practice like crazy before going out into traffic but WOW is it a blast riding!
nice looking ride cyclchyk, my wife mams has never ridden a bike other than the kids jr50'
and she is about to sit her learners permit test, she has read your post and thanks you for
the inspiration.
the only problem is in Australia you can only ride a 250cc bike for the first 15 months,
and mam's ambition is to ride my 07 883c,
