Anyone used these with V&Hines shorts and baffles in them?
Yes I did but it's like taking a bath with your socks on, rip out the baffles and install the TTi and you will be happy with both the performance and sound.
Very interesting. Did you had to modify the stock exhaust? I mean take out the baffle, cut anything etc?
Besides the sound, did you feel any performance improvements?
I'm getting ready to gut my stock mufflers and put TTI's in them to hold me over until I can order a new exhaust. From what I've read and watched you have to cut the muffler far enough back so the cat/baffle assembly can be forced out of the pipe. Mine are a bit different than the ones in BensonUK's link and in this link
1 1/2" back from the end of the stock exhaust mark off and cut the end off.
Then got a broom handle and knocked out the baffle
Sound deepened and the response seemed more but that could be a placebo effect too.
She loved the sound on the bike and it was a cost effective improvement until we put some slip ons on to replace the stock muffler
Was the install straightforward? Did you had to drill anything (heatshield the pipe itself etc)? So you get some decent performance increase on lower end with Straight Shots slip ons?
Yes, I had to drill through the heat shields. When I find it I will post a link to the thread I had reviewing them.
