I was just reading that HD are working on a European spec version of the Nightster for release with the 2008 model line up, so fingers crossed this will mean it will comply withAustralian specs too. I sure hope so as I want one bad!!
one of the dealers in the area (100 miles away) had the one I wanted and ended up buying it.
I paid $11,102 out the door. That was for a silver one, with security, forward control kit, and all the dmv and doc fees. I saved $1500 and got the bike I wanted 6 weeks earlier than the other dealers could get me one by driving 100 miles!
i got the black one for msrp and set up. i was about to buy from one dealer close to my house and they asked for 2.5k more because its hard to find. told him no thanks and drove 45 miles to get my bike.
yeah, my local dealer wanted more as well, so I drove 60 miles to the next dealer and paid msrp + set up/shipping of $300. total was $10,300.00 for two tone denim olive/black. I added about $1,150.00 in extras, but am very happy as none of the dealers around here ever let them hit the floor. They are sold before they get here. Wonder what they will do in 2008? Next bike will be RK classic in olive as well.
