Default Testing an Ignition?

Is there a way for me to test my ignition?

After freeway rides my bike likes to die at stop lights and have trouble restarting. I've pulled the plugs, perfect. Checked the battery, perfect. Checked for intake leaks, none. I've been told over the phone by two different shops that it's most likely a failing ignition.

When you mention ignition, are you refering to ignition switch ?? Or ignition coil ??

There's a "Sticky" thread at the top of this section that tells you how.

Ok I have a P0374 code. But isn't that just bc I've replaced my intake?

Codes P0373 and P0374 are very indicative of a bad crank position sensor (CKP). These are pretty common failures, I've replaced 3 on my bike.

The CKP runs around $50.00 and takes 10 - 15 minutes to change.

Edit: LOL, I just reread your OP that said;
I've been told over the phone by two different shops that it's most likely a failing ignition.
I don't know how many times I've heard this and the number of people that have been mislead into buying new ICM/ECM's instead of believing the diagnostic codes.
