Default Accessories Issue???

2007 XL 1200 C (EFI)

ISSUE:

Just wired in a replacement switch meant for a DYNA (Fits Perfectly btw), but instead of it have a 3-wire (off, access, ign), this is a 2-wire (off, on). Bike runs fine now that we have the wiring harness completly fixed back to stock (the previous owner wired LED's directly to the harness), but when wiring the new switch up, we did not wire up the RED/GREY (Accessories), just the RED(power) and the RED/BLACK (IGN.).

My issue is that my front turns are on, but don't blink. the rear turns are off and don't blink, and the rear break light is on but doesn't get brighter when pressing the pedal. Also the horn does not work.

I'm wondering if instead of my original thought that the ignition wire carries power for everything, that instead turning the key to ignition only adds to the power loads, instead of being in control of everything. my assumption is that i need to go ahead and solder the accessories, and the ingition wire together to the new switch's ON position and that this will solve my issue.

I also replaced all the fuses with new ones for ***** and giggles, jsut to make sure it wasn't something stupid easy like that.

Any reason that soldering the ACCESSORY/IGNITION wire together wouldn't put my lights to working again?

Thank you so much for all help, the bike runs great but i'd really like to get those turns, and brakes lights working again for my own safety, if not avoiding a ticket as well.

Hopefully doing this will fix my accessories not working. So long as this is not too much current going to 1 wire into my switch, thats what i'm curious about as well, as I'm not an electrician. Hopefully pictures help...they are nice. :-D
