76 xlch electrical problems
My 76 is having issuses and I can't seem to figure it out after replacing all circuit breakers and the vol reg when I turn the key all the lights flash for about 30 secs then they go solid during the 30secs I can syart the bike but when the lights go solid it shuts off and I have to turn off the key and then wait a few secs before I can do it again I've followed the manual the best I coild but the guy I got it from looks like he tried to wire it blind any ideas

wiring?
i worked as a ford dealer line mechanic for two years. we used to say it's 78 dollars an hour till we figure it out! you just have to check the system! wiring is not magic, it;s just chasing the wiring. cheers from montana

+1 on chasing the wiring. If there is anything I have learned it is "if the wiring looks like trash -- it probably is." Your best bet would be to take your time, trace every wire, check every joint and repair all that you may doubt. Not a quick fix but you will benefit from the time spent in the long run.
