Default Vibration damping tie link

Good evening my friends. A long time back, I had saved in my E Bay watch list, a XL vibration damping engine tie link. It basically had a peice of rubber that was positioned in the center of the tie link. The link consisted of a outer and inner portion. Think of a air cylinder if you will, where the piston and rod assembly move back and forth within the cylinder housing. But contained in this assembly, is a peice of urethane to absorb some vibration. I can't for the life of me remember what it was callled, or who makes it. Anybody ever seen what it is I'm talking about? Thanks in advance for your replies.

I remember it would fit my 06 XL1200. It's the tie links that go from the motor to the frame.

That link already sits on rubber bushings to isolate the engine shake from the frame.. if a rubber mount sporty shakes too bad for you, you might consider riding something else entirely.

There are three of them, one on the rear wall of the trans, another on the front head and the third one down in front of the crankcase. The engine is rubber mounted and all the stabilizer links do is support the mounts. I can't see any benefit or purpose in replacing them with anything more fancy than the stock ones! I don't recall seeing any replacements for them and I have owned rubber mount Harleys since 1990.

That link keeps the engine aligned with the frame and ultimately the swing arm and rear pulley. It only allows the engine to swing up and down, mostly at idle, on the soft mounts. It keeps the engine from being pulled sideways when accelerating and decelerating.
