Funny you should say that. I ripped the idea with the painted rubbers. I've seen them on a few sportsters in red and others in white. I just couldn't turn down $30 for two paint pens.

love the look. I think that some drag bars, tank lift, and coil relo will give it a real mean look.

May I ask why you want that passenger pillion with the tripper? I ask because I also bought it and used it once. The wifey complained it actually hurt so now its Sundowner for 2 up. Oh and she's like 4,7 and 99lb. The seat surface area is too narrow.

Just something to think about before pulling the trigger on the pillion.

Please don't do a tank lift, wire tuck, coil or ignition relocation...your bike looks great just the way it is! But if I had too, I could suggest a set of Custom Dynamics LED's for your turn signals, specifically the Dynamic Ringz in the front and red's in the rear, with clear lens covers. Check out the Dynamic Ringz in the pic below:

During normal use the outer rings are lit, but when you activate your signals the outer ring goes out and the center cluster of ambers light up. After the signal/amber go out the outer rings light up again.

The reds for the rear:

These used in conjuction with the clear lenses causes each LED cluster to practically disappear when your bike is off. And when they're on? Holy crap, are they bright! Definately an added benefit; being seen!

That said, cool bike. I have an Iron in brilliant silver denim and I've been thinking of doing the lettering on my tires also, but not orange or white, but silver. I have some Sharpie silver [oil] paint pens that I believe will suite the purpose very well, I just have to find the time and patience to undertake the job! It looks fairly straight forward...how long did it take you to do yours and do you have any tips to offer as far as preparation, ways to clean up in case of any "ooooops," etc.?

=8^)

Lookin good. Black and orange belong to Harley. I was just considering it this past weekend. If you relocated your coil you could also paint it orange. I did and thought it might cause it to get to hot but it hasn't. I went online and bought some retro green with yellow plug wire, boots, terminals and crimping tool and made my own for less than 20 bucks and I have enough wire, boots and terminals to make at least four more sets.
