I get away with low tire pressure because I don't carve the roads up like some guys do.

I was going to ask about that then I read on.

I do have a serious no BS question though. I never heard of or seen anyone run that low of a psi. So I want to ask someone who does. What tires have you run, and how long do they last?

You don't need a new clutch in order to do wheelies. You need a new clutch because you're going to burn the stock one

Secondly, I want the same thing but it's gonna be hard to find someone on the forum to tell you how. Just go out, rip the throttle, and pop the clutch. It's best you try on a dirt bike first though, you don't want to lay down your nighty.
You are kidding right,I why 240 and only mod I have is shortshots and I can get front wheel up easily, but not interested in wheelies anyway, but the power is there on my 883

I have no interest in doing a wheely on a Harley, I had a 1973 MAICO 125 and it would wheely at will in the first 4 gears, never got it it to do it in 5th or 6th. But it only weighed 202 pounds and had 21.5hp @ 8,200 rpm. I did enough wheelies for a life time. Like my 1200 C the MAICO had a 21 inch front wheel.

I had a 1972 XLCH - 1000CC AMF bike when I was 19 years old. I could easily get the front wheel off the ground, but not really stand it up and ride it on one wheel. I put 6" over front end on it and that shifted the center of gravity enough so that I could easily stand it up and ride on the rear wheel. Again, that was 41 years ago, and I have no interest in doing that now. Back then, if you flipped it over and crashed, it only cost a few bucks to put it back together. Ain't the case now, plus, my bones aren't as tough as they used to be. To all you folks that are recommending low tire pressure - I'd shy away from that. Low tire pressure causes the tires to run hot at speed and weakens the sidewalls.

i run the dunlop k591. One of the stickiest 130 or 150 tires you can get that fits on a sportster. They dont last very long at all.....i abuse my rear tire too. You will be pressed to find a stickier tire....period.

I use to take my fathers gold wing out and bounce the front end and gun it on the rebound for short pop ups. I have not owned a bike for ten years and I hadn't once thought of wheeling the sporty. Fun for tomorrow. Awesome wheelies madnss!

Whereas the frame/fork setup is good for most sane riding, I am not sure I would intentionally want to do wheelstands on a stock nightster frame other than maybe just doing it once just to say I can. Lots of weight and force on that 39mm frontend, to do it too much (especially if you are good at it).

I used to do them when I was a young (stupid) man, on om cb900f, but that was years (30 at least) ago..., a nightster... no, Maybe an XR...., but also, unless you are made of money, the other side of that is how much is it going to cost you if you lose it... it ain't gonna be pretty...
