Default 96 Sporty 1200 just died

I was cruising down the road, it got an enormous exhaust leak, then all power went out, no lights, ignition, nothing. I have power in the battery but nothing will turn on. Did that sudden exhaust leak blow something out? it was in the rear cylinder. Was it just coincidence? This is my first Harley in 15+ years so I don't remember anything about them. I'm completely lost, please help.

You could have possibly blown the main fuse since you have no power whatsoever. It's either under the seat or under that triangular piece to the rear of the battery that you just pull off, (I'm not 100% sure on the '96 model location), and seeing as it was your rear cyclinder.
