Default 2011 48 with 24" Drags & New Joker Machine Upper Triple Tree

Wanted to give everybody with 48's out there a heads up on a new product by Joker Machine. They just started making an upper triple tree, now available on their website, which allows you to use conventional risers. The tree is made out of 6061 aluminum and the quality/finish is great. I was the test it guy and I will tell you they went on very smooth with no issues whatsoever. I installed them by myself in my garage in about an hour with basic tools and a bike lift.

As you can see from the photos, I have done a lot of mods to my 48 however, I have always been struggling with the right bars. In the year and a half since I have owned the bike, I have had 4 different sets of bars on the bike and still wasn't completely happy with the look. I have always wanted to run a set of 24 inch drags but couldn't because of clearance issues due to the 1 inch built-in rise on the stock triple tree.

This triple tree has now allowed me to install a set of 24 inch Biltwell zero drag bars. They originally came in black however, I had them blasted and cleared for the bare metal look. I have never been happier with the bike. The bars look awesome and it is now even more fun to ride with the narrow bars.

Just an FYI, I am not affiliated in any way with Joker Machine. They are a great company making cool quality parts and I am all about supporting companies whom I believe are genuinely good people. I just wanted to pass on this information to anyone who has been frustrated with the stock 1 inch risers.
