Hi, I have American custom slip-ons with midrange baffles on my 2013 iron 883 (also upgraded ac and x14ieds). After running a few weeks with no baffles i put them back in because of poor performance and I don't really like the sound. The problem is that the midrange baffles now sound really quiet to me. Is it okay to run with only one baffle? If yes, does it matter if it's in the front or rear muffler?
Thanks.
You could try DK thunder torque inserts. I just picked them up for my rush slipons, running without baffles. Much better sound and increased performance.
Or you could try the big city thunder baffles. I've heard good things but no personal experience.
Theres another forum member here that had the same the mufflers and added the TTIs.
He seemed happy. :P
He has a video on youtube with the sound of the pipes with the TTIs.
Theres a thread here about it.
