Was riding my motorcycle today luckily this happened when i got home. I stopped riding for the day then i walk back outside and the fuel line is disconnected. THe part that is connected now is the hose tube that connects from the tank i beleive. I been looking for 2 hrs to try to find out where the other end of the small hose tube connects to i cant find anything. I had to shut the gas off from the switch lever. I have a 2002 1200sport. Can anyone help me on this [&:]
What is the fuel vent line? Besides the hose shouldnt be dripping fuel all over the place.. It wasnt leaking before until around 3pm it started leaking in the parking lot. Im not a mechanic i dont know much about motorcycles. I will get a picture and show u what I mean.. When i shut the fuel line to the off position it stops leaking.
anyone know where this other end of the hose goes to? i cant find nothing where it would tighten onto. its not leaking now because i have the gas line off. if i switch it on it will start leaking. or is it just an overflow thing idk.
Yeah, that's the vent/overflow line. It doesn't attach to anything. It ussually gets routed up to the front and tucked under the oil filter so if it overflows it spills to the road. BTW, always use your gas shut-off when not riding the bike!!!!!
