"WLC"-izing my 2012 XLC
I assume some of you already saw the french built WLA on a Sportster base, being called the "Warboy"

I also remember, a while ago, someone here having photoshopped some pictures of a 48 going the ol'school way by putting 1940's springer fenders, I did just loved the idea, even if I never found those pics back neither did found back who did put them here & where.
I decided to go that way either, but in real life, putting 45ci WL fenders on my bike, to have more protection for the legs under the rain, and for the looks, of course, while still keeping the original Mid-Glide front end.
The link between the 1940's 45ci and the Sportster nowadays is obvious to me ( \\ // pushrods, secondary transmission on the right side ), the missing link there in between being the "K".
But hey, that's me, I already see the nay-sayers telling me to buy the right thing, but as I already saw it plentyful here; "My money, my bike"

The bike as it is right now:
Fenders are in since yesterday, here the front one, which will need some cut-outs to be fitted between the front fork legs:
And here the hinged rear fender. That rear fender is for about 1/2 " narrower than the 8" wide Sportster fender, and the 45ci had the cut out for the transmission chain on the right side, as the XL, so it should be easy to fit it in:
Here a view of the inside, with the in-built electric wiring protection
As this bike is my daily rider, this project will be a mild one, no springer front end for now, no frame chopping, all the mods I already did on my bike are reversible, I may go back to stock configuration whenever I feel the need.
This project also will be a slow one, depending on the money I can throw in.
So, no hassle if there is no move on this thread for a while...
