Here's a chart of various fork oils that was posted here previously by HarleyScuba, I think. As you can see, they vary quite a bit by brand. I would use the stock Harley Type-E as a reference point and go from there.

I didn't listen when I first installed mine and used 15 weight as well. I dumped it a month later and went with 7 weight.

You using the lowering or standard drop in height? I bottomed out a lot with stock spring and oil weight especially riding 2up, and was told to use the 15w with stock height spring 11-1527. If too stiff I will drop to 10w and go from there. Why did you drop to 7w instead of 10w?
Thanks for chart but where is the key signifying the color to number correlation?

That's a spectro chart. Gold bar indicates 40celcius which is 104 Fahrenheit. Seems like the 10w belray is closest to stock at the ratings. Bought a bottle in case the 15w is too stiff. They didn't stock 7w and 5w would not be heavy enough to try IMO.
