Default possible 2nd bike

I am looking at buying a 2nd bike along with my 14 SGS, I have the oppertunity to buy a 09 1200 sportster with 700 miles on it, due to health issues of current owner he must sell. the bike appears to be bone stoke except or Vance & Hines exhaust, It is like a rootbeer color with Black in it also. I can get it bought for 6,000

Is this a buy, your thoughts

Thanks
Greg

A bike is worth the amount you love it.

Certainly sounds like it could be a great deal. Its obviously been sitting for a long time so there could be issue related to that. Hopefully stored in a good environment. With that many miles it should be pristine. I paid 6500 for my 09 2+ years ago, it had 1800 miles - I felt was a very good price. You might be able to get it for less if he really wants to sell it. This is usually a slow time of year for selling bikes.

The bike has been sitting in his garage with a cover over it. It looks like showroom condition, not even dusty, I will hit him at 5k and see where it goes.

thnx

Good luck with that, $5k would be a great price IMO. Even at $6k it sounds like a fairly decent price.
