Ouch! I always get paranoid of cars pulling up behind me..I had a close call a few years back when I was riding my CBR 600...all i remember was waiting at a traffic light and I usually keep tabs on my mirror but that day all i heard was a screech and luckily the car behind me saw me in time to slam its brakes...

Glad you are ok with just minor injuries...

Been a day now if you still have lower back pain get an x-ray or MRI. Back injuries only get worse if not addressed. Glad you're good and your iron is in tact.

Man that sucks! I always keep bike in gear so if I have to move I can. I know you said it was heavy traffic though. I would have been so pissed at the driver that hit me from behind... I would have lost it. I need to go re read your post. Was she on the phone? Texting? I bet she was...

Yes heavy traffic, service road exit on a overpass. No one was moving, stop. For me, their was no scape. One side was a the barrier and a 2 story drop, the other side was a lane in construction. Plus it was so fast. It was like 5 second after I put my 2 feet in the group. When I was falling, what I was thinking was, " I can not believed, someone didn't stop".

Yes I was mad, but waiting in the ground for the paramedic for 15 minutes, make you think about a lot of stuff (Wife, your kids, etc). I was able to talk to here after 1:30 minutes, I try to be calm (But my face and my tone, you really can tell I was ****) and be a gentlemen, but I told here, "you almost kill me. Please watch for motorcycle and give them our space.", etc.

I am sure she was using here phone. I hope she never forget this and remember to give us our space.

Wow, glad you're ok! Heal quickly!!

Everytime I make a stop, either at a light, a stop sign, or in traffic, I look in the mirrors for people approaching me, and even before they're getting close I tap the brakes at least 4-5 times in rapid succession [my cheap flash module, LOL]. I also try to keep myself to one side of cars waiting ahead of me, allowing myself some room to make manuevers quickly if I see someone coming and not slowing. Sounds kinda' paranoid I know but you have to do all you can to stay ahead of the game and ALIVE!

Hope you get things settled quickly with the bike repairs so you can be out on the road again!

=8^)

Excellent result, too bad the helmet is trash now, being a nice new one.

Can't believe riders still wear crap helmets or no helmet.
