Why a sprung seat on a bike with shocks? looks funky IMHO. One or the other, strut or hardtail it and spring the seat, or rigid mount the seat and leave the shocks. Doing both looks clown shoe.

May look clowny, but it's really comfy.

The road bumps which aren't handled by the shocks, are by the seat springs, just like seating on a flying carpet.

But to each his own, haters gonna hate anyway.

Agreed! Springs helping springs reduce the impact to your back/***, and it really is 100% more comfortable..

I'm new to the bike world and I just bought my first Harley Sportster Iron 883 a couple of weeks ago. I was wondering what the weight limit is on the spring seat? I'm a big guy about 320lb and am looking for a new seat because the stock one is uncomfortable after a while. I really like the look of the spring seat as well and am open to other suggestions as well.

I would call someone that makes or sells the springs. I know there is a company that makes a heavy duty stainless steel spring or a mini seat shock that might work.
