I have both, my bike came with a Sundowner. I think it's a good, comfortable seat. But, I changed to a Mustang, IMO it is that much better. I went with the Vintage Solo seat plus passenger pillion, so I can run with just the solo unless I need the pillion on.

I have the Sundowner seat. I have mids on my 09 xl1200 low and with the sundowner seat I feel I am sitting on top of the tank. The seat does give my wife much better comfort than the stock seat but for her to get that room and comfort I suffer in ride comfort myself. I am thinking about getting a solo for when I am by myself but that is not very often.

I have the Mustang Vintage 2up on my 03 1200C and really like it. I rode it to Sturgis a couple years back, did a little over 2900 miles in 8 days and never once thought about the seat it was so comfortable. My wife on the back never once bitched either which makes it priceless! Looking at getting a Mustang for my Ultra now. Look around for deals, I got mine off ebay for about $320 new.

I had a mustang vintage solo on my 03 1200c.....hated it. I have the stock drag bars and the seat put me back an inch and up a bit higher. Putting me in n awkward riding position. Put the stock back on.
