Get a left side front caliper from an xr1200x. It's four piston caliper (stock is two pistons) and it's a direct bolt on and will improve your braking. Search the forum, there are some members here that have done just that. I'm contemplating doing it myself.
I want to upgrade my front caliper, but there doesn't seem to be any out there that will fit a 2010 with spoke wheels.
I already upgraded to Lyndall Racing Brakes Z+ pads and Magnum Black Pearl brake line, and my brakes still suck.
Anyone know of any?
The XR caliper works fine on a 16" wire wheel like the 48 has,
so it'll depend on the diameter of your wheel. You did not
specify what it has. If it's a 21", the XR caliper wont work,
its too thick. You'll have to use a Brembo caliper from a
touring bike. The brembo's are cheap on ebay since they're
takeoffs from folks switching to the chrome version.
