Anyone got a recommendation on pads that help save your butt on a long ride? Don't necessarily want yet another seat, just something I can put over my current 48 metal flake seat or stock iron seat. Maybe just a small throw pillow with elastic would do, but I'm sure there's a market for this sort of thing.

Check out alaskaleatheronline.com. They have sheepskin covers that use velcro so you can put on and remove with ease. Nice thick covers that did the trick for me. Fast shipping and good pricing.
Good idea. Except out here in Iowa, our IKEA is the Amish. I could probably get a real sheep skin if I go ask one of our farmers. Hmmm, might go do that.
Don't know where you are in Iowa but any Amish tack shop can make you something up. Ask around about saddle and harness shops. I know many who can do good work for you.

The one I got is real. But yeah, if you can have one them make you one up even better. After 1000 miles straight I was aching from every inch of my body...........except for my ***. I did a few things, the mustang seat, the sheepskin cover and padded bicycling shorts. Im not sure which one gave me the comfort, probably a combination of all there. There is a guy on here that has done several iron butts, he says its the sheepskin.
