I have these: http://www.thunderheader.net/1058.htm
It has been four years now with these pipes and they show signs of corrosion. A little sandblasting and perhaps powdercoating would make them as good as new (possibly better than new, they seem to come from factory with rust already).
However, I wanted to try some other pipes which are claimed to make more power in high RPM range.
Thunderheader is "The Pipe" if you want power in low and mid range up to 6k RPM and their roar is unique. So I'm wondering if I should put them up for sale? If yes, how much should I ask?

TH is a decent performance pipe. But you're not going to get much, if any, noticeable power from pipes.

First, pipes can unleash the power of your bike, provided the engine is tuned for them. And there is night and day difference between different pipes.
Second, I did not ask your opinion whether pipes can change the power curve or not (I can reveal the secret, they can).
So I'm at loss, does your reply have a meaning?

Oh, you've done significant engine upgrades so your exhaust actually makes a diff other than looks and sound? Then I'll shut the F up.

For sake of truth. You can bolt on Thunderheader on your stock bike and you will feel the difference immediately. Just do not go for fully open throttle for longer than a minute or so or you will seize your engine (a bad thing). After you dial in the fuel you will have a completely different bike.
