Default 883c vs 1200c

I'm getting close to my break-in on my 1200c. Both the 883c and the 1200c are so close, It's scary. Basically close to the same bike but more of a power range, details to finish and the chrome made the 1200c more attactive to me. Both bikes are workhorses. Have the sweet Harley sound and perform well. The 1200 has the kick in the butt throttle response. Glad I bought it, but again the 883 holds a part in my heart.

Just my 2.

I had a new 883 in 2001. It was Teal colored. I had just about finished that bike when an old neck injury resurfaced causing my right hand to numb out. The neurologist said the bikewas a big contributing factor, too much vibration-so I sold it. 6 months physical therapy and 3 cortizoneepidurals in my neck(oh yeah those were pleasant especially the shunt)andlater bought a Suzuki Volusia 800 CC. Nice bike but NOT the same. Went to back to Harleys shortly thereafter been here ever since. But if I could pick up an older cheap 883 I would even though I don't need it,I want one.

I'm not riding this one as much as the 883. I plan on riding to Arkansas in June. I ride it every chance I get. I'm a sucker for Sporties. I just never got off on owning the bigger bikes.

Sporster fan since 1968.
