Guys/Gals; I believe Dawg's comment was meant in humor...lighten up a bit.
OP; there are ups/downs with anything in life...bike mods being one small hurdle. Dust-off, regroup and continue. Pretty soon you'll be back on the road and all is but a memory.
Well hopefully someday you can afford a real Harley, not much you can do with a spurtster.

Maybe you should buy a bike and try riding it, instead of playing wannabe on a forum.

Yep you busted me. Thinking of getting a used nightster. Is this one worth $4000?
06Sporty75,
I went down the same path with the horn on my 05 Custom. I Bought the DK horn relocation and found the horn to be completely inadequate. So I went out & bought a Harley Davidson horn of the same type, just as bad. I even tried connecting both the Harley horn and the DK horn, still NG. It's just the type of horn, not the quality of the DK product.
Since the stock horn under the cowbell is actually pretty decent, I removed it from the cowbell, cleaned it up, and mounted it on the DK bracket. It's not exactly purty, but it works and isn't that obvious because it blends in a little with the frame down tubes. You may want to give it a shot, since it won't cost you anything more.
Really like your bike. Does it come in a man's model?
See? He has a thing for men. Not that theres anything wrong with that kind of lifestyle. But I must insist you stop sending me private messages, its just not my thing.
