Somewhere in a 40 mile ride that took 3 different freeways is a jiffy stand. The bell couldn't stop the little b***tards from ripping it off my bike but at least it saved my back tire from hitting it or worse, having it get caught in my rim and locking up my back tire. I'm usually in the carpool lane at about 80 and that pucker woulda constipated me for about a week. Of course none of the dealers (3 close by) had one in stock but one of them ordered me an aftermarket one that will be here in a couple days.

 

did the mounting bolts break, or did the nuts just vibrate off? loctite the new ones and check regularly...many people carry an extra jiffy stand spring.

 

I have mine attached to the front wheel, I hope that never falls off

i feel like an idiot now lol so a kickstand and a little bell that keeps "gremlins" away. i've seen the bells before on other peoples bikes but never asked what they were called since i dont have on mine. just figured it was another piece of dealership memorabilia they sold amongst the countless other trinkets like shot glasses and pinky rings.
