Upside down by $4000.00 on something you want to own is a lot better than $4000.00 upside down on somethingyou don't want to own.
Make the deal... BUT, demand a better interest rate!
The stealer is not doing it to you, its the bank. If you can't get a better rate from the stealer's finance options go find your own, there are lots of finance companies around looking for customers.
You wouldn't be a member of or willing to join a credit union?? I joined one and immediately purchased an EG Standard. Would finance up to 125% of the retail had I wished. (I did not do that deal) and also gave me 6.75% interest. This was in May 2006. Pretty much the same deal applies this year if and when I purchase a Sporty for my wife. Good luck either way....
Not sure if you own a house, but a Home equity line of credit might be a option. The rates are good and the interest in tax deductiable. The only other thing I can say is make extra payments everymonthto get that balance down fast!
Well after checking my email just now i got denied. I do recall having an outstanding credit card from them thet I did pay off even though they had a CO on my report but on the credit report it said paid and closed since i did pay t he balance off. That is probably why. What other credit bureaus can I try for to refinance?
Woah!! They boned you bigtime on the interest rate. You definitely need to get out from under that loan if you keep the bike. If you decide to trade, you're going to get a much better price if you sell it yourself versus trading it in. I've actually had pretty good luck getting top dollar on bikes selling through eBay, you might consider that.
