My friend has a Vance Hines naked vo2 intake that he no longer uses. He only had it on his bike for 1200 miles. My question is? Is it worth buying from him to put on my 883xl sportster. He wants 50 dollars for it.
Also is there anything I should do too my bike if do buy it. He says I need to buy a stage 1 jet kit. To make it work to it's fullest potential.
Likely would need to go up a size on one jet, that is, if you have aftermarket or open exhaust. Probably adjust the idle mix screw as well. It's a piece of cake and will only cost you the $5 or whatever for the jet.
I have the VO2, no problems in 10,000+ miles. I just use a K&N clean/recharge kit to maintain it. $50 would be a fair price if it's all there and in good condition, I think I spent $120 on mine when it was new.
