So I found Harley sells some mirrors that have driving lights and signals built into them. Only issue is they claim to be unable to work upside down like on my forty eight. Does anyone think this could be modified to work?
I'll have to look, but I'm also wondering if these would be bright enough to replace my stock pods entirely as well.
Thanks for any and all input if you have any or all of it!

If you run 'em upside down, all the blinker fluid leaks out.

My best guess is 92068-08A from Harley. I really don't see why they couldn't be run upside down unless they are too long and cause interference with the tank while turning. You simply would just have to reverse the wiring so that you don't have the lights flashing on the wrong side. The installation PDF didn't mention anything about inverting them or not.
This kit does mention you can NOT replace your OEM signals with these because it will cause the wiring to go all wrong; they are just an addition to the stock signals. You could probably run the OEM signal wiring to the mirrors instead of tapping the harness like they want you to.

It does say in my book that they cannot be mounted on inverted cycles. Specifically stated the 48 in my catalog. That is the part number.
I figured it wouldn't be anything impossible. Probably just add some resistors to reduce hyperblink like with led bulbs in any form and run theoriginal wires as if it were standard.
I have aftermarket mirrors with signals from amazon. They were meant for crotch rockets but they are black and aluminum so they look great on my bike. LED too. was only 40 for the pair from japan or something. I removed my stock signals and wired those into the mirrors. I pass inspection just fine.
I thought about inverting them but they won't clear the tank, most bikes will have that issue. The ones that don't seem to have that issue are the peanut tanks.

Your bike is a 2014? You have a CANBUS. I would be careful about splicing or adding electronic components. If Harley specifically points out not to run it on a model 48, I wouldn't. Just saying.
they dont want to be held liable for bashing in the tank....they will work, they are mirrors, with a few wires out of them; they dont care what direction they are pointed.
It's a common problem at present, been like that for a few days, since the website crashed a few days ago. Hopefully the gremlins will get their fill and leave soon!
