I'm looking for a handlebar like the old Sportie bars. Turned down on the sides. Are they buckhorns? I'm curious. I want to replace mine with the turndown type.
An aquaintance at work just bought a used 05 Dyna that has buckhorns on it. Although I didnt go for a ride. I did sit on it. I didnt like the angle my arms were in ... elbows real close to the trunk of my body.
Im trying to find a set of bars that basically have the same angles at the end of the bar but just sit me in more of an upright position. Maybe just risers ?? Im bringing the girls down to the local HD dealer for their easter egg hunt ... think maybe Ill take a look at some bars ... get em to setup the fake bike thangy with a few.
Buckhorns have to be the ugliest, most uncomfortable bar they ever put on a HD, IMO. I think HD designed it that way. Back when every Sporty came with them, nearly every set got changed.....HD got to sell an extra set of bars. There used to be no shortage of them in my local dealer's dumpster.
I just put these on mine yesterday. I wish I had a better picture for ya but it snowed like crazy last two days so it'll have to wait. Anyways these are labeled on the box as buckhorns but they arent turned back nearly as far as the old stock style. They are more like wideglide bars. These are 6" rise and from sitting on it so far they seem like they are going to be very comfortable

I'm tired of reaching down for the stock bars... hard on this old back. Thought about buckhorns, but the one's I've seen have a pretty steep downturn. Those you have look pretty good, and I too would like to know where you got them. Wondering about cable lengths with those, etc.
