Engine coolant temperature to high
Please excuse my English, which may not be very good. I'm having a problem with my 2022 Sportster S.
The coolant temperature is quite high.
On the highway, it's around 90-100 degrees Celsius. On the city, it's around 105-120 degrees Celsius.
I want to lower the temperature.
1.Can I replace the thermostat to lower the temperature? What is the original temperature setting? If I replace it, which model should I use, or are there any aftermarket parts available?
2.Can I replace the fan thermo switch to lower the temperature? What is the original temperature setting? If I replace it, which model should I use, or are there any aftermarket parts available?
Are there any other suggestions or methods to reduce this temperature?
Thank you all.
Not a clue what it should run. That is typical what cars are around..., 212 F.
My post will keep you on top for someone with a service manual to chime in on the release setting on the thermostat. Hopefully anyway..
Google search shows little data and no specifications either.
I see no aftermarket source either on parts. See you have a nice looking Harley dealership there in Khonkaen. Guessing just like here is the USA with sticker shock, but probably the best choice.

Your bikes coolant temps are in the 'normal' range.
The thermostat opens at 85c (185f)/ fully open at 100c (212f)
The fan turns on at 105c (221f) / off at 95c (203f)
The important one- engine temperature alert comes on at 130c (266f)
-so all in all, your bike is running well within specification.
You may be trying to fix a problem you dont really have.
I added your answer to this thread @RDHIGH to my saved special threads for little known facts on these bikes we call Harley Davidson.
Also told AI the spec. It seems to find related information now on the Sportster S
better.
