I am project lead for implementing a Mission Assurance (MA) function for the SBIRS Mission Control Station Backup (MCSB).&nbsp\\; The MCSB is currently a developmental site but it is schedule to become operational in the near future.&nbsp\\; As the site, transitions from development to operations there are many aspects of operational activities that are not up to par with established Air Force instruction and accepted best practices.&nbsp\\; One of these deltas is the existence of an MA function.&nbsp\\; The oversight MA provides makes up a large portion of the other shortfalls.&nbsp\\; This project supports the SBIRS Vision by directly supporting the first goal.&nbsp\\; Part of this project is to establish a Configuration Management (CM) policy and process for the MCSB.&nbsp\\; CM will ensure the software installed is the current and correct versions thus enabling the reliability portion of goal number one.&nbsp\\; Another part of the project is to establish metrics for the MCSB.&nbsp\\; This addresses goal one, objective b.&nbsp\\; The metrics we are producing gives a real time look into how well we meet the customer’s needs

The processes for CM, Metrics, Software Audits, and Software Installation must be solidified and functional.&nbsp\\; With this in mind, higher headquarters selected the project.&nbsp\\; It is not a pet project but a required Air Force function
