stability over road snakes
With the economy and lack of road maintenance I sure feel a lot more confident over the road tar repairs (snakes). The CT gives a lot more stability. Some roads here are just full of snakes and they are slippery , especially when wet. Remember when they would put crushed stone over the tar while it was hot? They`re too cheap to do that anymore.

I live on a small island that has not spent much money on road maintenance for the last ten years. This spring they had "crack sealing" done. We have road snakes everywhere and not just a couple, but areas that I call tar snake pools, about ten figure eights in a concentrated area on curves! The first time I took my bike over them I thought my tire was going flat. I am very experienced now riding over the tar snakes and I often wonder what the car and truck drivers behind me think I am doing. It does impact the enjoyment level of my riding locally, but it also has given me some good riding experience.
