Default 98 electra glide

Looking for tire suggestions for my 98 electra glide, it currently has a Michelin 130/90/b16 what would be good dark side to go to, having issues finding a replacement size.

I have done some checking and all I could come up with was the Austone 175r16 but those are no longer manufactured. It might be possible for you to run a 195/60r16 though the clearance might be a issue. The majority of pre 2009 Harley's if not all, don't really have a lot of room.

Thanks Bonnie, I was afraid that might be the situation.

Not a problem. I was trying to match your stock tires diameter so you wouldn't need to correct the speedometer. Otherwise you could potentially go a tad smaller with a 175/60r16. For perspective, your original tire is 25.2 inches in diameter where the 175/60r16 is 24.3 inches, almost an inch difference. You would be traveling several mph less than what your speedometer reads.

It's a thought, maybe even an option!

If you aren't skeered to do it, one can always fit a 205/55R16 on an 07 or earlier.
A change of the rear swing arm and fender, rear frame, and axle spacers would be a start.

I checked this out because a friend asked me about this sizing not too long ago. I am really surprised that I don't see more with the older bikes or the Softails throwing the size up here. I wish I could remember what size/brand I used on my Heritage.
