Default Darkside abs skidmarks
19 king. 2 rides since the CT, first was a 10 mile check, added 2 psi and like it more or noticed the difference less after a 30 mile ride today. Entering the subdivision I figured maybe see if the abs acts strange. Maybe 30 mph, heard a skid, not a pulsating was noticed, went back and about a 20' detectable black mark. Bike didn't get squirley, I regularly test my abs and never experienced this. No CEL.

ABS don't care about the tire. It senses tire speed from the bearing.

I agree with the concept. So the harder rubber leaves a mark? It was a straight line!

Sounds like your ABS is not working. The entire purpose of ABS is to prevent skids. I agree it has nothing to do with tire.

I think the tire provides so much traction that it's very difficult to lock up solid. You left a skid mark but the tire was prolly still rolling a little.

Soft compound tires will leave marks on hard braking even if they are not really sliding some times.
Looking forward to getting the 195/65R16 on to replace my 180/55B18 . I have adjustments to make and need to wait until new tire is on.

So if one wanted to replace a 180/60-17 ...
What size car tire would put them in the dark side?

17" rim tire. Make sure it will fit within the swing arm.

if im testing the tire on the bike and didn't mention rubbing, don't you think maybe it fits?
