Default Question on map

OK, so I got around to flashing the 2006 Lowrider. (It had been dyno tuned with a TTS by PO verified by the Harley Dealership) When I downloaded the existing MAP, I expected it to be a TTS MAP. It wasn't it was my VIN and the Harley type file. Which we can't open. So I flashed the new MAP in no prob. My question, if it was dyno tuned with a TTS, shouldn't it have been a TTS MAP? Thanks in advance.

Simple answer, is, it was. TTS made the SE Race Tuner for HD for years, and HD was allowed to sell them under the SE label by arrangement with TTS. The original VCIs were black. How did you download the existing map? Are you referring to the MTE file? If so, not readable/editable. Different purpose.

Yes, it is an MTE file. I downloaded it to save it and replace it with a TTS Map. With the blue TTS tuner.

OK- the MTE file is used to restore the ECM to pre-MT9 status when the dealership needs access to the ECM, like for new key fobs. Non editable map.
