Auto tune basic and rpms above closed loop range

Everyone says when running auto tune to hit all the cells you can. If the cells are above the rpm range of closed loop why hit those cells. Does it do anything with those values? Thanks

If they are outside the range you collected, you blend the edges using the data you collected.

Auto Tune Basic sets the entire operating range to closed loop as a temporary state for developing tune corrections
