So, there we were, breakfast all done when my brother turned to me and asked me if I was up for a ride. "Sure, so where are we going?" I replied. He said that we should take a short jaunt up the outer Inter-coastal and enjoy the scenery. OK! Sounded good to me! We jumped on our bikes and headed out from WPB to the water. We hung a left on A1A and headed north. About an hour or so into the ride I pulled up along side of him at a light and asked him how much further he wanted to go. "Just up the road a piece" he replied.
About 45 minutes later I pulled along side him and requested a drink stop. He said that our "destination" was only a few more miles north and that I should hang in there. All the way up on A1A to Fort Pierce, we ended up pulling into the parking lot of Archie's Seabreeze. Not just a biker bar (no clubs) but an EXTREMELY busy family road side bar / restaurant / family gathering joint as busy as I have seen as of recent! We were just 2 of the hundred or so bikes there at the time. Good food, friendly people, VERY reasonable prices WITH entertainment and no cover!
For those of you who have been there, you know what I mean. For those that haven't, you should put it on your list of rides and go! If a 2 hour run up the Inter-coastal doesn't appeal to you, you can blast your way up there on 95 or the Turnpike.
I've been there only once. It was on a Sunday morning. not to many ppl and we were the only bikes, 5 of us. We rode up US-1 from Palm Bay. Not to bad of a ride.
