Anyone know what's up with The White Eagle Lounge in Korona? I took a ride up US1 late Fri afternoon and there was not a bike or car in the lot. Took another trip by late Sun morning and except for a bunch of people on bicycles in the lot next door, the place was empty. Website is on hiatus, too. This is, or was, a pretty good biker bar, with good food, good music & friendly folks as well as claiming to be one of Florida's oldest drinking establishments. Has it closed?
I ride by there now and then, and it appears to be open. I heard the family had problems with the IRS, and someone else took it over.
Last I heard it was being called a cop bar. Not sure someone from LE works there, or the people who runs it calls the law when someone leaves that's had too much to drink.
Rode by today about noon. Closed up tighter than Dick's hatband. Didn't look like the dust in the parking lot had been disturbed since the place opened. It is Monday and I was doing about 70, but looks closed fer sure.

I rode by there Sat, Sun, and today. It's for sure dead.
Other than that, last time I've been in the area was May 2nd, and I'm pretty sure it was open then.
I heard previous owners kept the liquor license and took it with them. Beer/wine only now.
Place will never be the same as it was....
I rode past there a couple weeks ago...and it was open. I did not stop. I do not know what their hours are.
Yeah, its open again. Just beer & wine. No where near as many bikes parked out front as there used to be. That will change next Sun as the annual 9-11 Ride ends there. That's a big ride, so we'll see how they handle that crowd.
