Man do I miss Cafe 27. I rode out there most Sundays to check out the bikes. I've not found a similar place in my new town of St. Louis Missouri.
I did a little ride through video for my friend in Sweden, he was jealous too of what a good place it is. Coincidentally I parked next to an identical 2003 Heritage Springer as mine, also customized by the nice painter that sets up shop there every Sunday.
Never new about 27 till this post.... Gotta go! So I got 3 other riders to ride on out there on Weds. Leaving from Cape Coral around 10 am....can't wait! Just hope my carb. parts come in before then. I'm stoked

Sunday is the day to go to see the bikes, crowd and vendies. Wednesday will be slow but food will still be good.
Yeh Joe is right it's kinda boring mid week. The tiki bar is open for food and beverages (btw they have great Cuban coffee). Across the street is Everglades Holiday Park if you want an airboat trip or see some gators. US 27 is a great road for picking up some speed if you go North a ways towards Belle Glade. Otherwise there's not much else in the area, you can go South a few miles and turn west onto Krome Ave, there's the Miccosukee reservation casino and along 41 there's some more airboat ride places and Joni's Stone Crab Cafe. Also Everglades City which is a 2 horse town if I've ever seen one.
Well got the parts in and scoots running fine. Will need to tinker with the fuel mix on her, she's coughing every once in a while through the carb. I believe that's to rich, am I correct?

Far more often than not, carb cough comes from a lean condition.
If you've done stage 1 upgrades (A/C & exhaust) you likely need to go up one size on the pilot jet.
It can also occur due to a leaky intake manifold gasket/seal, both where the carb seats to the manifold and where the manifold connects to the heads. The carb to manifold gaskets tend to split with age and it can take a real close inspection to see the split.
Well, gave it my best, but didn't quite make it! Bike crapped out on state Rd 80 1 mile from 27. Check out my post in Sportsers. I'll give it a go down the road
Well I nailed down my problem...it was my tank liner breaking up in pieces. Taking care of the fix and as soon as the tank gets cleaned and sealed I will be making the trip. And I'll try to make it on a Sunday.....see you there!
