We are headed to the other coast this weekend for one of our sunup/sunset rides. Hope they are gone by then.

This morning was about as perfect a day for a ride that I have ever seen. Sky was clear for as far as the eye could see and the temps were very pleasent early on. Cought a little breakfasts out on 44 in Deland and was heading the loooong way down and around towards Osteen before heading out to the coast and back towards home. About halfway down 452 I was bombarded with the Love bugs. Got cought at a red light and they were all over me. Then I was really glad I had my 3/4 helmet with full shield on as I took off from that light...splatter, splatter, splatter. They were all gone in about a half mile. The last 40 miles or so was a little difficult seeing through my shield. Boy is their splatter on the windshield ever hard to clean off. Must have gotten baked on from the heat. Did the windshield as soon as I got home...I think tommow it is clean the whole bike day.
