The day is almost over but hoping it is not too late to add our wish to everyone for a very Merry Christmas and a most Happy, Healthy and Safe Riding New Year to come.

For a bunch of us old foogies that don't have family that are local to celebrate with, we did our celebrating on a nice 90+ mile ride (going the long way) to have our Christmas Dinner at a nice little place called the Rice Bistro in Port Orange. Not very traditional fare, but food was good just the same.

Ego is a fake you.

Ego says...... LOOK AT ME!
I have a BIG house. I just bot a BIG BOAT! I HAVE..... I HAVE..... I HAVE...... I JUST TRAVELED TO...... I JUST TRAVELED TO...... I JUST TRAVELED TO......

It is a never ending "pumping of 1's self up" to give themselves a (false and temporary) self worth. And.......it is typically incredibly boring for others to hear and it can make those listening feel crappy about themselves. Thus-ly, this type of person tends to have less friends (tho they would NEVER admit it).

It is also empty. Meaning, they have to keep pumping themselves up again and again since it is only a temporary ego boost. they have to keep doing it.

These people often (not always) talk incessantly.

It also hides who you REALLY are.

If someone were to bridal (slow down or stop) ego boosting, touting how great they are and LOOK AT ME, then work on their self image, the person tends to have more self worth, better lasting true feelings about themselves and are happier and it opens the door to live a less stressful life. If follows, these people have more friends.

When the ego is bridled, the person tends to be more caring, loving, heart-felt person with empathy, etc..... <-- THIS is where people find living to be more richly rewarding and more fun. You start to look FORWARD to every day. Going to work. Being with people, etc....

Not to say egotistical people can't be the above but are truthfully WAAAAAAAAAAY less than those who find out who they really are and bridal their ego. When they really care MORE about others than they do themselves.

Kind of tuff to explain in writing. Hope it makes some sense to you my love.
