My sincere condolenses. I can feel your pain. My wife of just short of 50 years passed away from Stage 4 Lung Cancer in 2011 after suffering for well over 2 years.
One piece of advice from one who was there...make sure you take care of yourself. Please don't let grief consume you. It is too easy to let that happen. So eat, hydrate and get sleep...it is important...trust me I know.
