Trying to plan a getaway with my wife to Islamorada some time this year. Did a search for places to stay and things to do but everything that popped up was from 4 or 5 years ago and may not exist anymore. Any recommendations on where to stay? Any places with tiki/open type bars with entertainment? I'll be coming from the East Orlando area.

WAHOO's is 1 of my FAVs. Their LOBSTER sandwich was PHENOMENAL. Sadly last time I was there, they did not have it anymore. Be sure b4 sitting down INSIDE, check the area that looks like a WALKOVER to the bathrooms. A long bar overlooking the marina and the Atlantic. NICE!
Abt 17 miles north is Atlantic Bay Resort and its sister place called Coconut Palm Inn, both I thin in Tavernier. Both on the BAY side.
H-02, there is a lot of GOOD stuff to do down there so be sure to check the map link above. And like u said, to be sure they are all still open. They were when they were added to our map.
There are also MANY places with PUBs on the ocean, bay as well as canals.
