Joe is going cross country on his WG in about a week to meet up with us. I think it is about 2500 miles in 4 days. I think I would need a touring bike to attempt something like that.

If you're going the distance that time of year, you might consider making Key West too. And think about swinging through the Florida panhandle, US 98 along the Gulf is a great ride.
