2136 miles from Dale's driveway to mine. We had 33 mph winds today for all of New Mexico and most of Arizona, I don't know how high the gusts were but they were pretty strong. Dean was having a lot more trouble with it than I was because of the fairing on his bike.
Thanks everyone for all the hospitality shown while we were there, and to Joan for putting us up for two nights.
Some of you need to start planning now for a trip out here.
Glad your home safely. Didn't get to meet you while you were here, but do have a ride planned to come your way in September. Maybe we can meet then. Again, glad your home safely.
I'm glad you all got home safe.
It is kind of sad that it is over though. I had some great times that I will remember forever. I never thought we would be able to make it happen to be able to ride together on our own bikes because of living over 2000 miles away from each other. I credit Joe for being the animal he is and stepping up in the first place. I also credit Dean for doing what he knew he had to do and jumping in and going for it even though it was all the way across the country. Thanks to both of you for getting it done. I logged 1000 miles for the week you were here and enjoyed every minute of it. Mark my words. Next time it will be me out there. If the Arizona group is anything like Joe and Donna I know we will be well received and have a blast.
Thanks again guys (and Donna). Good times!!!
I so enjoyed hosting Dean and Joe each time they came through Houston! you guys were great! I'll be uploading my pix to photobucket and will post the link here.
